Connecting at Calvary

Weekly Prayer Schedule at Calvary

Sundays:

Holy Eucharist at 8 a.m.
This service is a traditional spoken service with a sermon and Holy Communion that includes music without singing. It offers a reflective and meditative mood appropriate to the early morning. The liturgy is Rite One from The Book of Common Prayer and retains much of the language used in the 1559 Elizabethan prayer book.

Holy Eucharist at 10:30 a.m. with Children’s Chapel*
Calvary’s 10:30 a.m. service is Rite II Holy Eucharist. Children ages 3 through second grade are invited to follow the cross in procession to Room 205 for Children’s Chapel. We’ll have stories, songs, and prayers together before returning to the service at the Peace.

Calvary’s 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning service is also live-streamed on Facebook, YouTube, and our website

Evensong
“Choral Evensong is a 45-min long peace-inducing church service in which the ‘song’ of voices sounding together in harmony is heard at the ‘even’ point between the active day and restful night, allowing listeners time for restful contemplation–church members, agnostics and atheists alike.” (from choralevensong.org)

You can join us at 5 p.m. on the first Sunday of the month, September-May, for this traditional Anglican choral liturgy in person or on Calvary’s FaceBook and YouTube pages.

Mondays-Fridays:

Morning Prayer at 8 a.m.*

Wednesdays

Holy Eucharist at Noon
Holy Eucharist is offered on Wednesdays and features a reflection by one of our priests. A brown-bag lunch follows in the Mural Room.

Caring for One Another

Our pastoral care teams are hard at work caring for all of us. If you or someone you know is in need of extra help, extra prayers, or just a phone call to check in, contact the Rev. Paul McLain. And if you would like to volunteer to make grocery/pharmacy runs, phone calls, or send cards, be sure to contact Paul.

  • If you’re on Facebook, join Calvary Mondays-Fridays at 6:30 a.m. for Early Morning Prayer, or at 8 a.m. for Morning Prayer.
  • Log in to Realm or email Ebet Peeples to have her email you a copy of the directory to make phone calls, texts, or emails to other parishioners.
