Jr. High Summer Trip to Heifer Ranch

June 4 @ 12:00 pm - June 6 @ 5:00 pm

All Calvary youth and friends in 6-8th grade (the grade you are entering in August 2019) are invited to join us on our Jr. High Summer Trip! We will be traveling to Perryville, Arkansas to participate in the Global Challenge at the Heifer Ranch during June 4-6. The Ranch is a 1,200-acre beacon of transformational education and sustainable agriculture nestled in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains. A trip to Heifer Ranch opens minds and changes lives. In Search of the Beloved Community Pilgrimage

All Calvary youth and friends in 9-12th grade (the grade you are entering in August 2019), along with graduating seniors, are invited to join us on a summer pilgrimage. We will be traveling to through the Mississippi Delta to Alabama, visiting some of the most historic sites in the Civil Rights Movement, during June 23-28th. Jr. High DOY at Camp Bratton-Green

A Jr. High Division of Youth (DOY) weekend retreat at Camp Bratton-Green is full of spirituality, fun, getting messy, and just plain being yourself for all youth in grades 6-8. Jr. High DOY is Sept. 20-22, leaving at 5 p.m. on Friday and returning by 1 p.m. on Sunday. Coffee Hours

All students in grades 6–12 are invited to join the Episcopal Youth Community (EYC) for coffee and fellowship before school on Tuesdays from 6:45–8:00 a.m. and after school on Thursdays from 3:30–5:00 p.m. Grab a cup and go or stay and chat, either way: coffee is on Gabbie! Email Youth Minister Gabbie Munn for location.

Sundays

Formation: 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Grades 6-12 | Living the Good News | Third Floor Youth Room

Using art, poetry, and hands-on activities, students will further explore each Sunday’s readings and apply the lessons to their everyday lives.

Youth as Worship Leaders

There are many ways for Calvary’s youth to serve in Sunday morning worship. Youth are encouraged to acolyte, lector, sing in the choir, usher, and/or help in Children’s Chapel. Below is the list of ministry opportunities and volunteer age requirements. Please contact Gabbie Munn for further information on how to get involved with these ministries.

Acolyte: 7th–12th grades

Lector: 5th–12th grades

Usher: 6th–12th grades

Music: 1st–12th grades

Children’s Chapel Helper: 5th–12th grades

Wednesday Evenings

EYC

6th–12th Grades—6:15-7:30 p.m.
3rd floor Youth Room

Wednesday night Episcopal Youth Community will meet from 6:157:30 in the 3rd floor EYC room after dinner. Wednesday nights are for any youth in grades 612 to come together and participate in team-building activities, music, games, service projects, discussion, and prayer. Take a break from the stress of the “real world” and join Director of Youth Gabbie Munn at EYC!
