An event every week that begins at 3:30 pm on Thursday, repeating until May 30, 2024
Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. on Zoom
Beginning Thursday, Feb. 22, our online gathering called Gleanings will discuss Danielle Chapman’s new memoir Holler. After her father’s death in Okinawa when she was three, her grandfather brought her back to the family’s ancestral farmhouse in Tennessee. “There,” the book jacket tells us, “Chapman encounters the pungent atmospheres of her Confederate forebears, and a living cast of Southern eccentrics and WWII warhorses…turning up the depth of their sins, their sufferings, their humor, and their grace.”
Contact Scott Walters to join Gleanings and buy a copy of the book. Come meet Danielle at Calvary on Sunday, March 17, when she will preach and lead the 9:15 a.m. forum.
