At every baptism, godparents stand before God and the congregation and make a promise: to help the newly baptized grow into the full stature of Christ through their prayers and witness. It is a lifelong calling to pray for, encourage, and walk alongside another person in faith, and it is a reminder that none of us is raised in faith alone.
Whether you are a godparent, a godchild, or both, come celebrate those relationships. Invite your godparents or godchildren to join you at the 10:30 a.m. worship service, where we will renew our Baptismal Covenant together, followed by a festive reception.
