Calvary parishioners and friends are invited to tour Charles Shipp’s art exhibition at Playhouse on the Square on display in conjunction with the theatrical production of “The Scottsboro Boys.” Charles is the son of Nino & Charles Shipp and grew up at Calvary. He created the mixed-media collection after being moved by the story of the racially charged injustice associated with nine falsely accused men. Charles will be with us to talk about the work and what inspired him. Join us at Playhouse, 66 Cooper St., on Saturday, February 18, at 3:00 p.m.
Touring the art exhibit is free; if you would like to attend a performance of the play, tickets are available at the Playhouse box office. RSVP for the conversation with Charles here.
