Calvary’s liturgical five-octave handbell choir, the Calvary Ringers, rehearses weekly on Wednesday evenings and always welcomes new members. The ability to read music is not required. Calvary Ringers is directed by Joseph Powell.
Both professional singers and auditioned volunteers make up Calvary’s primary group of choristers: the Calvary Choir. OPERA America and Opera Memphis will welcome the opera industry to Memphis in May for the annual Opera Conference. During the conference, Opera Memphis will present a New Works Showcase (excerpts from new operas) at Calvary. Attendees from Calvary are very welcome! $10 at the door.

The working title for Scott Walters's sabbatical is "Carnal Virtues: Church as a Community of Craft."
