Andrew Nesler presents a program of piano masterpieces by Prokofiev and Scriabin, including Scriabin’s intimate Sonate-Fantaisie, inspired by the waters of the Baltic Sea, and Prokofiev’s ferocious and unforgiving Sonata No. 6, the first of his iconic “war sonatas” written between 1940 and 1944.
