This Sunday, Sarah Zewde, founder of Studio Zewde in Harlem and assistant professor at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, along with landscape designer Jessica Lock and poet Joshua Bennet, will be in Memphis exploring a possible partnership with Calvary and other community stakeholders in the design of a civic memorial space on the site of a slave market that was active on Calvary’s block in the mid 19th century. Join us this Sunday at 9:15 a.m. to learn about Studio Zewde’s past projects and how they approach creating public spaces that are both truthful and healing.
