Volunteer and/or donate to Guns and Gardens: A Transformational Event for Unwanted Firearms in partnership with Evergreen Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Feb. 28, from noon to 3:00 p.m. at 561 Prescott St. Firearms that are donated will be dismantled on site and then turned into gardening tools and artistic pieces by the Metal Museum. Donations must be unloaded and secured in your vehicle’s trunk or back compartment, preferably in a gun case. You will stay in your vehicle until your guns are dismantled. This is an anonymous safe surrender event; no background checks will be conducted, nor will any personal information be collected. There are also a number of volunteer opportunities!
