Youth Representatives to Vestry

The vestry is looking for high school students who are confirmed to represent the youth of Calvary at vestry meetings. Calvary’s vestry is the governing body of the parish and shares the leadership of the parish with the rector.The vestry meets to oversee the temporal affairs of the parish, as well as to support the rector and staff in promoting the spiritual welfare of the parish. In addition, the vestry, in conjunction with the finance committee, is accountable for the fiscal responsibility of Calvary Church. Vestry members also share leadership responsibility for the ministry groups of the church.

We look forward to your participation as a representative of the youth in our congregation and how Calvary can meet your needs and support your life in Christ.

Youth Representatives will be asked to:

  • Serve for one school year
  • Attend monthly vestry meetings, held on the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.
  • Report back to the Youth Council (Vestry Youth Representatives required to attend Youth Council meetings)
  • Take on other responsibilities in the church, if they are able, as deemed appropriate

Youth Vestry member candidates are asked to complete and submit this application by July 23, and two people will be chosen based on the recommendation of the review panel.
