SUMMARY:High School Retreat at St. Columba
DESCRIPTION:High schoolers\, please join us at Johnson Lodge at St. Columba Episcopal Camp and Retreat Center (4577 Billy Maher Rd\, Memphis\, TN 38135) for an overnight retreat beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Friday\, March 6\, and concluding at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday\, March 7. The registration fee is $75 a person and includes meals. We will enjoy a bonfire after dinner on Friday and take advantage of the retreat center’s outdoor and spiritual spaces the next morning until lunch. But after it was all over … I experienced devastating loneliness … It was in this condition that I first encountered Rembrandt’s Prodigal Son … my heart leaped when I saw it.” -From the Prologue of Henri Nouwen’s book The Return of the Prodigal Son: A Story of Homecoming. \nSaint Clare’s Silent Retreats are always experiential. A time to be with yourself and God in other people’s presence. A time to be with your heart more than with your intellect.
