DESCRIPTION:Jared Millson\, Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Rhodes College \nAdvancements in Artificial Intelligence are poised to reshape everything from the economy to our artistic and expressive practices. Since the transformations wrought by these new technologies are both dramatic and accelerating\, it’s natural to approach them with trepidation. But\, as is so often the case\, much of our fear is born of ignorance. In this tutorial\, I provide a brief overview of the field of Artificial Intelligence—its history\, methods\, and philosophical commitments. With this background\, we’ll turn to some of the social\, environmental\, and ethical challenges confronting the development and deployment of artificial systems. While these new technologies raise many legitimate concerns\, they also hold enormous promise for a better world.

DESCRIPTION:Both professional singers and auditioned volunteers make up Calvary’s primary group of choristers: the Calvary Choir. The choir sings each week at the 10:30 a.m. worship service\, monthly Evensong\, and offers special liturgical services and concerts during the year. While strongly based in the music of the Anglican church\, their repertoire spans centuries and global traditions\, from plainsong to spirituals. In addition to making music at home\, the Calvary Choir has traveled to England to participate in a week-long choral residency at the Bristol Cathedral. SUMMARY:Calvary Choir
DESCRIPTION:Both professional singers and auditioned volunteers make up Calvary’s primary group of choristers: the Calvary Choir. The choir sings each week at the 10:30 a.m. worship service\, monthly Evensong\, and offers special liturgical services and concerts during the year. While strongly based in the music of the Anglican church\, their repertoire spans centuries and global traditions\, from plainsong to spirituals. In addition to making music at home\, the Calvary Choir has traveled to England to participate in a week-long choral residency at the Bristol Cathedral. They are known for both their dedication to and love of music and close camaraderie. Interested singers should contact Organist-Choirmaster Kristin Lensch.
