SUMMARY:Celebrating Godparents and Godchildren
DESCRIPTION:At every baptism\, godparents stand before God and the congregation and make a promise: to help the newly baptized grow into the full stature of Christ through their prayers and witness. It is a lifelong calling to pray for\, encourage\, and walk alongside another person in faith\, and it is a reminder that none of us is raised in faith alone. \nWhether you are a godparent\, a godchild\, or both\, come celebrate those relationships. Invite your godparents or godchildren to join you at the 10:30 a.m. worship service\, where we will renew our Baptismal Covenant together\, followed by a festive reception. Haven’t been in touch in a while? This is a good reason to reach out.

SUMMARY:Newcomer Gathering
DESCRIPTION:If you are new to Calvary\, generally having visited or joined within the past year or so\, you are invited to an in-person gathering to celebrate finding community together at Calvary. Come to the Rev. Katherine & Stephen Bush’s home to enjoy some light snacks and a variety of beverages. This is a great opportunity to meet other newcomers and staff and vestry members who can tell you more about worship\, study\, fellowship\, and outreach at Calvary.
