SUMMARY:Children's Chapel
DESCRIPTION:At the beginning of the 10:30 a.m. worship service\, children in grades JK-2 are invited to follow the banner out of the church to Children’s Chapel\, which is held in the Corner Room adjacent to the nursery. There\, children experience the Liturgy of the Word in an interactive and child-friendly manner. We sing\, pray\, and hear the stories of the Bible. Children are escorted back to church at the time of the Peace to join their families for Communion. All are welcome\, including younger children accompanied by a parent. Older children are invited to take on leadership roles\, such as reading prayers\, leading songs\, and distributing supplies. Please join us!

Come explore\, discuss\, and learn more about these passages that sometimes just wash over us in church. We’ll take a closer look at each of the readings appointed for each Sunday\, and you’ll come away with a different perspective on our weekly worship. \n  \nMarch 22: The Hospitality Hub in the Bethlehem Chapel \nCalvary helped found the HUB in 2007\, and we continue to partner with them as we care for our downtown neighbors. Learn more about their vital work and what it means to serve those who are unhoused holistically and with compassion. \n  \nMarch 29: A Closer Look at Palm Sunday (Bethlehem Chapel) \nA lot happens in our Palm Sunday liturgy as we move from the entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem all the way to his crucifixion. SUMMARY:Calvary Choir
DESCRIPTION:Both professional singers and auditioned volunteers make up Calvary’s primary group of choristers: the Calvary Choir. The choir sings each week at the 10:30 a.m. worship service\, monthly Evensong\, and offers special liturgical services and concerts during the year. While strongly rooted in the music of the Anglican Church\, their repertoire spans centuries and global traditions\, from plainsong to spirituals. In addition to making music at home\, the Calvary Choir travels to England for a week-long choral residency at a cathedral every three years. DESCRIPTION:Community Ministries provides lunchtime snack bags at the door of the Welcome Inn (82 N. 2nd St.) for our downtown neighbors Monday through Friday at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. These days and times coincide with the AA meeting at the Welcome Inn held from noon to 1:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday. Help is needed in sourcing food (which must be either ready-to-eat or requiring very little preparation) and in serving. Volunteers who serve will work with Community Liaison Mak Clayton. DESCRIPTION:EfM helps the faithful encounter the breadth and depth of the Christian tradition and bring it into conversation with their experiences of the world as they study\, worship\, and engage in theological reflection together.\nCalvary offers a morning and evening option of EfM. Richard Hendricks and Fred Piper are the group leaders. This is a commitment class\, and participants are encouraged to commit to the program from September through May.
