With a few prompts\, we’ll consider together what it means to practice the art of resurrection throughout the Easter season and beyond. \n  \nApril 26: “All I really need to know I learned at Calvary” (Bethlehem Chapel)\nWe celebrate Calvary’s graduating seniors today. Come listen to their stories and hear what they’ve learned and witnessed growing up in these pews. \n  \nMay 3 (& 17): Job: A new way of reading an old story (Bethlehem Chapel)\nTricia Vesely reintroduces us to a story and a man we may know only through his trials and tribulations. This class will involve considering Job through a lens of trauma and may cover difficult and sensitive topics. DESCRIPTION:At the beginning of the 10:30 a.m. worship service\, children in grades JK-2 are invited to follow the banner out of the church to Children’s Chapel\, which is held in the Corner Room adjacent to the nursery. There\, children experience the Liturgy of the Word in an interactive and child-friendly manner. We sing\, pray\, and hear the stories of the Bible. Children are escorted back to church at the time of the Peace to join their families for Communion. All are welcome\, including younger children accompanied by a parent. SUMMARY:Seeking God Together: Intergenerational Bible Study
DESCRIPTION:All ages are invited to join us for an intergenerational summer Bible study\, “Seeking God Together\,” that will meet during the formation hour on Sunday mornings from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m.\, and will be facilitated by Jocelyn Busby and Nathan Brasfield. \nChildren\, youth\, families\, and individuals are all invited to participate. We will meet in the Corner Room to study the Bible through the lens of God’s enduring presence. Following our hearts and minds\, we will explore “God Within Us\, God Above Us\, and God Beside Us.” We will journey through Bible passages that teach ways to talk to God\, make time for God\, celebrate\, marvel\, confess\, give thanks\, welcome all\, support each other\, and serve. We look forward to coming together for a meaningful and fun summer! \nA note on attendance: Parents or grandparents are encouraged to attend with their children whenever possible; however\, children aged rising first grade and up are welcome to attend without a companion.

DESCRIPTION:Calvary will sponsor a booth at this year’s Pride Festival\, a diverse and community-friendly event featuring live entertainment on two stages\, over 150 vendors\, a food truck park\, a VIP lounge\, free and discreet HIV screenings\, and more. We will also march in the annual Memphis Pride Parade that begins at 1 p.m. at 4th and Beale and makes its way through the historic Beale Street Entertainment District.
