SUMMARY:Calvary Choir
DESCRIPTION:Both professional singers and auditioned volunteers make up Calvary’s primary group of choristers: the Calvary Choir. The choir sings each week at the 10:30 a.m. worship service\, monthly Evensong\, and offers special liturgical services and concerts during the year. While strongly rooted in the music of the Anglican Church\, their repertoire spans centuries and global traditions\, from plainsong to spirituals. In addition to making music at home\, the Calvary Choir travels to England for a week-long choral residency at a cathedral every three years. They are known for both their dedication to and love of music\, as well as their close camaraderie. Interested singers should contact Organist-Choirmaster Kristin Lensch.

We will meet in the Corner Room to study the Bible through the lens of God’s enduring presence. Following our hearts and minds\, we will explore “God Within Us\, God Above Us\, and God Beside Us.” We will journey through Bible passages that teach ways to talk to God\, make time for God\, celebrate\, marvel\, confess\, give thanks\, welcome all\, support each other\, and serve. We will also march in the annual Memphis Pride Parade that begins at 1 p.m. at 4th and Beale and makes its way through the historic Beale Street Entertainment District.
