DESCRIPTION:The Boys and Girls Choir\, composed of students with unchanged voices in grades three and up\, sings semi-monthly at the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Using the Voice for Life curriculum established by the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM)\, Organist-Choirmaster Kristin Lensch promotes a complete and quality approach to children’s music ministry that is as much a Christian education experience as a musical training experience. Choristers often become peer leaders over time as they progress through the program. Rehearsal is on Wednesdays from 6:15 to 7 p.m. Afterward\, they attend Compline in the church until 7:15 p.m.

SUMMARY:Calvary Choir
DESCRIPTION:Both professional singers and auditioned volunteers make up Calvary’s primary group of choristers: the Calvary Choir. The choir sings each week at the 10:30 a.m. worship service\, monthly Evensong\, and offers special liturgical services and concerts during the year. While strongly rooted in the music of the Anglican Church\, their repertoire spans centuries and global traditions\, from plainsong to spirituals. In addition to making music at home\, the Calvary Choir travels to England for a week-long choral residency at a cathedral every three years. They are known for both their dedication to and love of music\, as well as their close camaraderie. Interested singers should contact Organist-Choirmaster Kristin Lensch.

DESCRIPTION:Are you looking for a way to support a Calvary ministry\, but you’re super busy with other commitments? Well\, it only takes one minute to support the Soup Sunday hunger ministry by stopping by the Commons after the 8 a.m. service\, or before and after the 10:30 a.m. service\, to purchase and take home some delicious soup for yourself\, your family\, and/or neighbors and friends. It’s the perfect way to show the community how much you love them. \nIn addition\, everyone is welcome to volunteer for Soup Sunday\, and no cooking skills or long-term commitments are required. We would love to have you join us just once\, or as often as your schedule allows\, and bring a friend or family member of any age; there is always something for everyone to do. For the November 9 Soup Sunday\, soup prep starts at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday\, the 8th\, and we plan to be packaged and cleaned up by noon. However\, if you can’t spare the entire morning\, feel free to join and leave us as your schedule allows. Even arriving as late as 11:00 a.m. for packaging and cleanup would be a big help. Alternatively\, if you prefer to sell soup on Sunday mornings\, we would love your help\, but what’s most important to the success of Soup Sunday is that people purchase soup. \nAnother way to be part of Soup Sunday is to share your favorite recipe with us.
