SUMMARY:Wednesday EYC
DESCRIPTION:Following dinner from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m.\, starting September 3\, middle and high schoolers initially meet in separate rooms on the 4th floor from 6:15 to 6:55 p.m. for community-focused activities\, such as games and service projects. At about 7:00 p.m.\, we walk to the nave together to join Children’s Ministries for Compline until 7:15 p.m. All at Calvary are welcome to join us in the nave for Compline\, and parents of middle schoolers will pick up their children from there. Let Nathan know if you need elevator access to the 4th floor because it requires a key!

SUMMARY:Youth Confirmation Meetings
DESCRIPTION:Youth Confirmation meetings are for 9th-12th graders who want to follow up on their baptisms and make their own personal commitment to the life and mission of the church as they grow into adulthood. \nConfirmation for youth and adults at Calvary this year will take place during the annual visit of the Rt. Rev. Phoebe A. Roaf\, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of West Tennessee\, on Sunday\, Dec. 6\, at the 10:30 a.m. service. \nTo prepare for confirmation\, potential youth confirmands will meet on five Sundays\, beginning Oct. 25\, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Staff Commons on the first floor to discuss the foundations of the Christian faith and the specific nature of the Episcopal tradition. There will be light homework to complete in preparation for the 2nd-5th class meetings. The goal of these meetings is for our potential youth confirmands\, in conversation with their parents\, to make sincere\, informed decisions about participating in the mission of the church at large\, being confirmed in the Episcopal Church\, and being a member of Calvary in particular. \nLunch will be provided\, so please let us know about any dietary restrictions or preferences.
