SUMMARY:Soup Sunday
DESCRIPTION:Soup Sunday at Calvary\, December 14 \nAre you looking for a way to support a Calvary ministry\, but you’re super busy with other commitments? Well\, it only takes one minute to support the Soup Sunday hunger ministry by stopping by the Commons after the 8:30 service\, or before and after the 10:30 service\, to purchase and take home some delicious soup for yourself\, your family\, and/or neighbors and friends. It’s the perfect way to show the community how much you love them. \n  \nIn addition\, everyone is welcome to volunteer for Soup Sunday\, and no cooking skills or long-term commitments are required. We would love to have you join us just once\, or as often as your schedule allows\, and bring a friend or family member of any age; there is always something for everyone to do. Soup Sunday\, soup prep starts at 8 a.m. on Saturday\, and we target to be packaged and cleaned up by noon. However\, if you can’t spare the entire morning\, feel free to join and leave us as your schedule allows. Even arriving as late as 11 a.m. for packaging and cleanup would be a big help. Alternatively\, if you prefer to sell soup on Sunday mornings\, we would love your help\, but what’s most important to the success of Soup Sunday is that people purchase soup. \n  \nAnother way to be a part of Soup Sunday is to share your favorite recipe with us\, and when we offer your soup for sale\, we’ll be sure to give you a byline. \n  \nThe soups for December 14 will be: \nChili\nGinger Carrot (vegetarian)\nNew England Clam Chowder (Recipe shared online by Jacques Pépin) \n  \nPrices are $12 per quart and $6 per pint. \n  \nFor more information or to share recipes\, please contact David Balling at DLBalling@calvarymemphis.org. \n  \nWe look forward to your support of Calvary’s Soup Sunday ministry.
