Begins Wednesday, September 8, at 6:15 p.m., in the Library
Frederick Buechner memorably wrote, “The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.” Over the centuries, Christians have developed some countercultural language about the work one does in the world. Being people of an incarnational faith, rather than disembodied spirituality, we believe that the Christian life should affect our understanding and practices in all aspects of our lives.
The idea for this class began with a conversation with a Calvary parishioner in his 30s about the relationship and differences between calling and career. We have people in the first few decades of adulthood in mind, but anyone looking to reflect on one’s work in the world with others is welcome. Please join us! Questions?
