Thistle & Bee Pop-Up Holiday Market at Calvary on Dec. 5
The market will provide the opportunity to shop the premium honey, granola, soap, lip balm, tea, and other gift boxes made by the women of Thistle & Bee, survivors of addiction, prostitution, and human trafficking.
Thistle & Bee was founded in 2015 by Eyleen Farmer, Calvary’s former associate rector, to help women survivors thrive. Thistle & Bee offers a two-year program that includes the clinical components of healing such as housing and wrap-around support services, and employment in the social enterprise. The social enterprise starts with learning beekeeping and making products from the West Tennessee Wildflower honey from the T&B beehives.
This year Thistle & Bee doubled the number of women survivors in the program and graduated four survivors, sisters for life.
Calvary holds a special place in the hearts of all associated with Thistle & Bee. In speaking of the program’s launch, Eyleen has said “Calvary was Thistle & Bee’s incubator space. You gave us production space in the kitchen, office and storage space, and—most importantly—encouragement. We are so grateful to our friends at Calvary!”
