Want to do a deeper dive with our Lenten Preaching Series this year? On Sunday mornings from 9:00-9:45, Calvary clergy, the Ven. Mimsy Jones, and LPS coordinator Heidi Rupke will discuss articles and other writings by LPS speakers. Read along with them ahead of the discussion or just tune in for a lively conversation about everything from poetry to the planet, music to systemic injustice. Then catch the LPS speakers themselves the following Wednesday at noon and 6:30 p.m.
This week: Pádraig Ó Tuama
Ó Tuama’s interests lie in language, violence, and religion. Having grown up in a place that has a long history of all three (Ireland, yes, but also Europe) he finds that language might be the most redeeming of all three of these. In language, there is the possibility of vulnerability, of surprise, of the creative movement towards something as yet unseen. Here is what our panel will be discussing this week: “The Place Between.”
