Good Friday is the day we remember Jesus’ death on the cross. The Good Friday services at 12 and 7 p.m. will offer worshippers a quiet time for reflection and prayer. Both the 12 and 7 p.m. worship services will feature a dramatic reading of Christ’s passion story from the Gospel of John. After the mid-day Good Friday liturgy, at 12:45 p.m., gather at the altar to begin the Way of the Cross. Inside the church, the Daughters of the King will lead these traditional meditations on the last moments of Jesus’s life with the artistic renderings that hang in the Calvary nave during Lent. A second group will begin at the same time but will pray the Way of the Cross on a walk through our downtown neighborhood. Join us for either local expression of this ancient Good Friday practice.
