The Rev. F. M. “Buddy” Stallings has been appointed by Bishop Johnson and enthusiastically approved by the vestry as Calvary’s priest in charge during our time of transition. As priest in charge, Buddy will do the work needed to help prepare Calvary to call her next rector.
A native of Mississippi, Buddy is the recently retired rector of St. Bartholomew’s Church in midtown Manhattan. At St. Bart’s, he was a beloved leader and prolific fundraiser, and we are fortunate that he now lives in Memphis and is excited to take on this new role. Prior to his time at St. Bart’s, Buddy served as a priest at St. James Church in Jackson, Mississippi, as well as several other churches around the country. He is a gifted preacher and pastor, and we welcome him as our interim leader.
Buddy looks forward to joining Associate Rectors Eyleen Farmer and Paul McLain, Curate Neil Raman, Assisting Priest Audrey Gonzalez, and Calvary's other assisting clergy. He is excited to get to know Calvary’s parishioners and share his wisdom with us as he begins his ministry this Sunday, July 17.
